Mountaya is now open to every outdoor professional

This is the start of a new adventure! Mountaya is out of private access and now available to every outdoor professional who wants to bring outdoor intelligence into their stack.

Since the release candidate in March, we've shipped the routing intelligence platform, Street View inside Map Studio, and a long list of smaller refinements across every product. Map Studio, Outdoor Intelligence, and Outdoor Tiles are all production-ready, with enterprise-grade SLAs and the engineering depth to back them.

Race organizers, outdoor apps, ski resorts, coaching platforms, analytics teams: if you've been waiting for the green light, this is it. Talk to us about pilots, integrations, and tailored deployments. The platform is ready, and so are we.

Welcome!

Video Generation in Map Studio

Your routes deserve to be seen. Map Studio now generates ready-to-publish videos straight from any itinerary, course, or resort map you've built.

Pro accounts can render vertical stories for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok in a few clicks. Enterprise accounts unlock YouTube Shorts on top of that, plus full control over the output: resolution, and frame rate.

Street View in Map Studio

Three weeks since the RC, and we're still shipping. You can now drag and drop the Google Pegman directly onto the map to access Street View, right from Map Studio.

Scouting a race course, checking trail conditions, or verifying a waypoint? Drop the Pegman and get an immersive ground-level view without leaving your workspace. Even better, Street View works while editing an itinerary. No need to close your route to look around. Just drop, explore, and keep building.

This is the kind of detail that makes the difference between a tool you try and a tool you rely on.

Routing Intelligence Platform

This is the piece that was missing. Our routing intelligence platform is live, and with it, Mountaya reaches the level we need to open the doors to everyone.

Activity-aware routing, constraint-based itinerary generation, matrix computation, isochrone analysis, and elevation profiling. All powered by the same engine that drives Map Studio, now available as a queryable GraphQL endpoint.

Drop waypoints and get back the optimal path for your sport: trail running, hiking, ski touring, or cycling. Generate full itineraries from distance and elevation constraints. Compute travel-time matrices between checkpoints. Build reachability polygons from any point on the map. Every response includes surface type, way type, and gradient breakdowns so you know exactly what the terrain looks like.

With routing intelligence in place, the vision we set out to build is complete. v1 is here, and Mountaya is ready for a much broader audience. If you've been waiting for the right moment to bring outdoor intelligence into your stack, this is it.

Introducing the new Mountaya

This is where it starts. Today we're putting a release candidate of the completely rebuilt Mountaya into the hands of our first customers. Same vision, the mapping platform for outdoor professionals, but a new product from the ground up.

Map Studio has been redesigned for the workflows that matter most: race course design, ski touring planning, and resort mapping. The Tile API and Outdoor Intelligence are now first-class products with their own dedicated interfaces, built so outdoor apps and coaching platforms can plug terrain, weather, and trail data straight into their stack.

Whether you're an ultra runner scouting your next race, a coach enriching training plans with altitude and weather context, or an outdoor app shipping interactive maps to thousands of users, this is the foundation we're building everything on. There's a lot more coming before v1. Follow along!
